Web Design for Metro East Illinois Businesses

Custom small business websites for Belleville, Waterloo, Mascoutah, Alton, and the towns in between. $129 to build. $99 a month. You own it. I keep it running.

One person, one phone number, both sides of the river.

JB Web Co. builds custom websites for small businesses across Metro East Illinois. Not a template with your logo dropped into it, and not a page builder that falls apart on a phone. A real site, written by hand, built to load fast and to show up when somebody in your town searches for what you do.

Out along Illinois 15 and toward Scott Air Force Base, that means the contractors, salons, and family restaurants in Belleville, Mascoutah, and Freeburg. South down Route 3 and 159 it is the tree services, auto shops, and trades in Millstadt, Waterloo, and Red Bud. At the north end of the corridor, Alton and Trenton tell the same story: solid businesses running on a Facebook page and word of mouth, quietly losing calls to a competitor whose website simply loads first and reads clearer.

Here is the honest part. JB Web Co. is based in Arnold, Missouri, which is 30 to 45 minutes from most of the Metro East depending on which bridge you take. That is close enough to sit down at your shop if that is how you like to do business, and far enough that most of my Illinois clients would rather do one phone call, text me a few photos, and get back to work. Both work. What does not change is that a real person picks up when you call, and that person is the same one who built your site.

If you want to see what that looks like finished, the recent work page has live client sites you can click into, including a tree service and a repair shop running the exact setup described here.

Why local businesses choose JB Web Co.

You get a person, not a ticket

No account manager, no support queue, no agency middle layer. You have my cell number. When you need your hours changed before the holiday weekend, you text me and it is done.

One flat price, nothing hidden

$129 to build and $99 a month. Hosting, SSL, security, daily backups, and unlimited small edits are all inside that number. No per-hour billing, no plugin licenses, no annual price creep.

Built for your town, not a generic map pin

Your service area, your town names, and your business details go into the page copy and the structured data behind it. Google gets told plainly what you do and where you do it.

Fast on a phone in a parking lot

Most people find you on a phone with two bars of signal. Every site is hand-coded and served from a global edge network, so it loads in a blink instead of spinning while your customer gives up.

You own the site

Your domain stays in your name and the site is yours. If you ever decide to go somewhere else, you leave with your website. That is not how most monthly website plans work, and it should be.

Written to be found by AI search too

Clear language, real answers to real questions, and clean structure are what ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews reach for when somebody nearby asks about a service like yours.

What Metro East owners actually ask.

$129 to build and $99 a month. The monthly fee covers managed hosting, an SSL certificate, daily backups, security and uptime monitoring, speed work, and unlimited small edits. There is no setup fee on top of the $129 and no surprise line items later. The price is the same in Belleville as it is in Arnold, because the work is the same.

Once I have your content, a first draft is usually ready in about 48 hours and the site is live in under two weeks. Most of that window is gathering photos, your logo, and a clear idea of what you want visitors to do when they land. If you already have those things, we can move faster than that.

Both, and it is your call. Some Metro East clients want me to come out and see the shop before I write a word about it, and I will. Most would rather do a 20 minute phone call, text me photos, and get on with their day. The build process, the revisions, and the ongoing edits all work the same either way.

Not for the website. JB Web Co. LLC is registered in Missouri and I am in Arnold, which is 30 to 45 minutes from most of the Metro East. Web design does not require a state license, and your site is hosted on a global network rather than in any one state. What does matter for local search is that your business address, phone number, and service area are Illinois, and I set all of that up pointed at your town, not mine.

That is the whole point of how I build. Every site gets your town and service written into the page title, the headings, and the actual body copy, plus structured data telling Google exactly what you do and where you do it. I also help you get your Google Business Profile straightened out, because for a local search that profile and your website work together. Nobody can promise a number one ranking, but most small business sites in a town like Freeburg or Red Bud are competing against three other sites, and the one that is fast and clearly written usually wins.

That is most of the calls I get. Send me the link and I will look at it and tell you honestly whether it is worth fixing or worth replacing. If we rebuild, you keep your domain and your email, and I handle moving everything over so your site does not go dark during the switch.

First year is a 12 month agreement. After that it is month to month and you can cancel with 30 days notice. The $129 build fee does not come close to covering what a site like this actually costs to build, so the rest is spread across your first year. If you cancel early there is a fee to make up the difference. It is all spelled out in the agreement before you sign anything.
